I like my station because it is a modern music station and gets lots of interviews with famous people, and pulls funny stunts eg. Rings up random people in Iran to find Homosexuals . All the music is Imported (not much NZ stuff - about 10% NZ).

I don't like music stations anymore...they're all owned by the same corporations and all play the same crap.
I have 10,000+ songs on my server, about 1000 being new (over the past 2 years). I make my own disks from them. I like mostly Brit and American performers (The Fratellis, The Flaming Lips, Beck, A Band of Bees, Paolo Nutini, Spoon, Lemon Jelly, Supreme Beings Of Leisure, Blur, Ok Go, and I love Nicola Conte)
While I was a performing musician (22 years), I prefered: Rush, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, DMB etc.....anything that was complicated (ok, so Sabbath isn't complicated, but it was heavy). And I loved The Doors, Beatles...and a lot of 60's 70's musc.
I do listen to NPR each day to keep up on whats going on in Washington and the world. They play the BBC at night, where I can get a different perspective on world news.
When I was in South Africa, I was overjoyed to find NPR on the radio in the very early morning.
