What is the 01 Eastern Roman Empire Alliance all about?
The 01 Eastern Roman Empire Region is the place where the Empire of the Byzantine Glory was born on December 28th, 2006. The Capital of the region is Constantinople.
All nation states believing in freedom and independence, mutual self respect, common defense against any invader and hard work for the progress of their people may benefiting to become parts of the Empire.
On Feb. 8th, 2007 the Region elected member of the ADN:DSA, on Feb. 27th of the ADN/DSA Regions Council and on May 10th of the Cabinet of Internal Affairs Commission of ADN. Our National Holiday is May 10th.
Nation Information
Here is the Nationstates control panel; you should explore its features on your Nationstates Page:
What are Issues?
Issues are events that your nations government has to decide what to do about or ignore, but be careful as they affect your Economy, Civil Rights and Political Freedoms of your nation.
Each issue shows different views of people in your nation, usually they represent people that want to affect your nation/s in a negative or positive way. This involves damaging or making the economy better e.g. banning pollution, lowering taxes for business, etc.
Issues will also try to give the people better civil or political rights or restrict their civil or political rights e.g. give your people a 100% tax rate or allow men to enter female beauty contests, get rid of Political freedoms by causing a dictatorship or boost political freedoms and develop a democracy, etc.
Can I control how many issues I get each day?
Your nation should have a section on the settings panel like the image below to change this; good advice would be to read the FAQ information for Nationstates.
Jolt forums
You should also notice the Jolt Forum section on the left of your Nationstates Nation screen:
How to join the Join forums
1. Click on the forum link and you will get a message on the screen telling you to check your email address you gave Nationstates when you joined.
2. The message from Nationstates should be sent to that email address, the email will tell you what to do.
3. To join the Jolt forums register your nation and go to the gameplay and technical sections where the Moderators have posted rule sections you should read in the Jolt forums before posting.
Regional Influence
One thing you will notice first in Nationstates is your regional influence, your level of influence is determined by your nation size, how long it has been in the region and it’s amount of Endorsements (Votes to support your nation or other nations).
Here are the Regional Influence Rankings in the game from Highest influence to lowest:
1. Hermit (This is the highest level of Regional Influence in the game)
2. Hegemony
3. Dominator
4. Superpower
5. Power
6. Powerbroker
7. Eminence Grise
8. Enforcer
9. Dealmaker
10. Instigator
11. Contender
12. Negotiator
13. Auxiliary
14. Ambassador
15. Diplomat
16. Envoy
17. Duckspeaker (Join the United Nations and gain endorsements to get here)
18. Handshaker
19. Truckler
20. Vassal
21. Minnow (You should start about here when you join the region)
An important reminder is that if you leave the region for a short time (e.g. a day) your regional influence will decrease a place when you move back to the region. The longer you spend always from the region, the more regional influence you will loose.
Telegrams
You should also notice the Telegram section on the left of your Nationstates Nation screen; below you can see what you can do with Telegrams:
You can send messages to any nation in the game, but be careful not to put offensive material in them because the site Moderators could give you a warning or possibly even delete your nation depending on how offensive it is.
If you want to offend someone, it is best to do it in the 01 ERE Alliance forum instead. Also when recruiting with telegrams remember that you can only send 1 telegram to each nation but the Moderators do not enforce this as yet but if a player complains to the moderators prepare to be punished. I stopped sending more than one when I found out about this rule.
What is the regional notice board and what can be done on it?
You can leave a message for other nations in the region to see or converse with other nations, but do not do too much of this e.g. Spamming the message board with 20 messages each day.
Of course if it is such an important event announcement for the region like an invasion of us (our founder has region control so we will not lose our region) then everyone would be allowed to Spam the message of it within reason.
United Nations
You should also notice the United Nations section on the left of your Nationstates Nation screen; below you can see what you can do in the United Nations:
1.You can vote for Resolutions, but only Regional Delegates can vote for proposed Resolutions becoming Resolutions, you should read the UN Rules or the one stop shop.
2.You can propose new laws or try to repeal laws once you have 2 Endorsements from other nations, you should look at the UN Proposal or Repeals Rules and Information.
3.But beware, if you get 2 telegram warnings from the Moderation Team it is a good idea to not propose or repeal any laws because once you get 3 telegram warnings you nation is banned from the United Nations for good.
How in-active can you be?
Once you have been in-active for 27 days your nation is basically deleted, however if you change your nation to vacation mode on your nation settings the amount you can be inactive becomes 60 days.
What is the dossier?
It makes it easier as you can link to nations quickly and do not have to search for them.
Under each nation is the phrase “add to NS Dossier”, if you click that the nation will be added to the dossier. The dossier shows you the activity of the nation added, as well as its region of residence.
What is recruiting and how do I do it?
Once you know the above and a bit about region name through discussion through 01 Eastern Roman Empire members, you may learn of Recruiting.
You can only recruit on the regional notice board of feeder regions, in order to do this you move your nation (this you know by now because you had to do it to arrive in the 01 Eastern Roman Empire Alliance and started in a feeder region when you joined the Nationstates Game).
List of Feeder Regions:
The Pacific
The West Pacific
The East Pacific
The South Pacific
The North Pacific
The Rejected Realms
Lazarus
Then once you are in their region quickly post a message. On the 01 Eastern Roman Empire forum there should be a topic on recruiting go there to learn more and find the recruiting message/s, search and you shall find young skywalker.
Also to recruit other nations for 01 Eastern Roman Empire Alliance by making a puppet nation for recruiting and not waste that precious regional influence you would lose in moving.
You can telegram other nations that are in feeder regions, with an invitation to join the 01 Eastern Roman Empire Alliance but only one telegram per nation, if you do not do follow this or the other rules mentioned above you break the game rules (moderators of the Nationstates game can be harsh).
If you have any further questions refer to the One Stop Shop Rules, UN Rules or the FAQ Rules
